Texting & Driving

Texting has gone from being a teen’s daily routine to becoming their deadly pleasure. The number of accidents do to this has increased rapidly as the years go by and technology becomes more and more accessible to everyone. However when we look closely at this problem can a text be to blame for so many deaths?

I don’t really think passing a law against texting would really change anything. People would still do it, they’ll just find worst ways to commit the crime and even raise the probabilities of causing an accident. People just should be responsible enough to know when the time is right to be texting. If you rather risk your life by texting then just way a couple of minutes to reply then, do it, just think about the other people on that road that aren’t doing so. one’s choices don’t just affect yourself they affect the people around you.

Texting and Driving is just as bad as Drinking and driving. You are not paying attention to what is going on around you, when honestly can’t afford not to. It hurts families, hurts yourself, ruins lives in a single second…  All because one person wants to “LOL TTYL! HAHA!”

It may seem ironic how one small thing can cause so many big things to happen, but its true, one text at a time we are destroying people. We don’t have to give up on texting all we have to do is do it responsibly, to differ the right times is prior to achieving this.

Planning a Website

What is the topic of your website and who is your main audience?

The topic of my website will be TJ Wrestling: To encourage people to come to the matches and find what a hard and strict sport this is.

What will be the names of your buttons for the other 4 pages? you can have more if you want.

(Home)  (Photos)   (Matches) (About): Coach, Players. (other) / I’m still not fully sure of what i want here but i will figure it out as i gather all my information.

What will be your plan to gather your images for your gallery and other images you will need for each page?

I plan to take all the pictures for this website, by going to all the matches or most, staying for their practices, learning about the sport myself and personally meeting the wrestlers.

Give a short description explaining what content will go on each page.

My home will hold an “eye-capturing” image and a slogan something that will make you want to see more. also the outlook or summary of what the website contains.

My photos, will contain all the pictures that i have taken and also of individuals.

My Matches buttons will have all the matches the wins and loses, and also where we are heading next.

My about will have and interview of the coach and some interviews with the wrestlers.

My others tab, is undecided still. any contact information will go there and anything else…

Optimizing Image:

This article gives  3 essential tips : You should always make sure your dimensions are small and download fast meaning, you shouldn’t have extra space, you need to use the main subject the main idea of the picture.

Another tip is using as few colors as possible meaning that you need to use web safe colors from the “color-safe palette” that contains 216 colors in total, which don’t slow down the image.

The last tip was that you should put your images through an optimization program, which means using the right sizes, and “save for web and devices”. Knowing what GIF, JPG, and PNG mean.

Principels of Design:

Balance: arranging elements on the page so that no one section is heavier than the other.

If you try to balance a see-saw with an elephant and a dog, its very likely the dog will go flying into space as sound as the Elephant sits, for this to be a successful activity you need to have the same weight on both ends, balance on a website is the same you cannot have very heavy contents on one side then little on the other, therefore balance, (having two elephants or two dogs) is important.

Contrast: helps different design elements stand out.

When you see something from faraway everything seems to be around the same, one you get close you realize that everything has their own texture, color and size, all this elements are what give contrast. You can have something very big, then something very small, or something very bright then something very dark, and make it stand out, Contrast is very important for website making it allows you to “highlight” certain things while still making them look like part of a picture.
